Entry 010: The Great Unknown
I haven't written in my diary for awhile and honestly it’s because I've been sitting here tryna wrap my head around what happened. When the ants were biting me, I thought I was gonna die, but I still believed I’d be fine in the end. This time was different. This was my first real close call, and it changed me forever. I remember being out in the field scanning plants for the index when my exo-suit suddenly started to shake, not the usual little tremor, but a violent, bone-rattling quake... Read more...
Entry 009: Strength
Today freaking sucked. I thought I was about to uncover something magical, but instead I found nothing but pain I was nowhere near prepared for I spent hours watching these little creatures crawling around, carrying things so much bigger than their bodies. It reminded me of Neptune—how everyone is constantly in motion, always doing something, carrying the weight of responsibility without pause. To see that same drive packed into something so tiny almost didn’t feel real. Then I spotted a mound of dirt where they kept disappearing inside. From the... Read more...
Entry 008: Dissociation
Oof, being here alone really makes you sit with yourself and just think. Think about all the events that led up to this moment. When I first joined the Core at twelve, it actually felt so fun. The training unit was full of crazy Neptunian kids and we all stuck together. We stayed up late making up games, laughing at stupid things, and for once I felt like I belonged somewhere. I still have so many memories of those days, back before everything got so black and white. It all... Read more...
Entry 007: Serenity
I mean, I can’t say I didn’t expect to observe, but sometimes it gets REALLY boring. It’s only been a couple of weeks, but I’m starting to understand how the beings on this planet live their life. It's very simple. Earlier this week, I found a small path that led me down the cliff to the ocean. Standing on the beach for the first time… it was unreal. I always wanted to touch the sand, feel the waves up close. But as I stood there, a strange tension started rising... Read more...
Entry 006: Nomad
I got dropped off today, all alone in a clearing surrounded by towering trees. I won't lie, it was nerve-wracking. After they left, All I could hear was silence and the weight of everything that led me here. I stood there for a while before forcing myself to shake it off and get moving. Eventually, I stumbled onto this tiny path tucked behind the trees. It was barely noticeable, but I followed it anyway. The land opened up into this peaceful, wide patch with a sky soooo blue, it almost... Read more...
Entry 005: Home
I was awoken out my SLUMBER today by this godly bright light blasting through the window blinding me ferociously. At first I wanted to punch someone because who the hell turned on these stage lights? But when I dragged myself over to the window to look out, all my sleepiness disappeared.  It was Earth Not the photos, or a little projection we studied. It was the real freaking thing. It was glowing insanely bright. It has this massive white aura wrapped around it like it was just radiating energy. It... Read more...
Entry 004: Shadow Self
We’ve all been assigned to temporary rooms in what they call the housing wing, which is funny because these rooms don't feel like any housing I've ever known. This ship is definitely not made for comfort. It's cold, metallic, and smells like a mix of medical building floors and cleaner. The housing is just rooms lined up like compartment rooms on an old train. Here, let me give you a visual image so you never forget this beautiful moment. Imagine a small room, not cozy, not warm, just bare and... Read more...
Entry 003: Uncertainty
As soon as I stepped into the spaceship, my chest got really tight. Anxiety hit me hard. I didn't know what to expect, but underneath the panic, I also felt something else: relief. For the first time, I didn't have to deal with others or their impossible expectations. Just me, finally free. , The ship looked nothing like the ones we trained in. This one was massive, way more buttons, more switches and it hummed so loud under my feet, I felt my heart sync up with the violent... Read more...
Entry 002: Nostalgia
Today I packed up my room. Seeing the empty room really made something sink in my chest. It really hit me when I started packing my gear. I've lived here for 5 years. I know every flicker in the lights, every creak in the floor like I was one with the building. I used to call this place a cage. Always quiet and cold, the same grueling routine every day. It felt like I was trapped, just existing in a shell of a body, being given orders on what... Read more...
Entry 001 : Liberation
I still remember the day I joined the Observation Corps. At the time, it felt like my only way off this planet. The Core Government controls literally everything on Neptune and no one gets a purpose without their say. Everyone on Neptune acts so perfect, like everything is okay and they got their shit together. I have met nobody else like me. No matter how much planning I do, somehow I still fail. Everyone moves like they're all synced up to the same rhythm and I'm on a completely different frequency. ... Read more...
